We take great care in promoting children's health and wellbeing within everything we do on a day to day basis with our children. We encourage:

  • healthy eating,
  • being active,
  • being outdoors,
  • independence,
  • to respect themselves and others around them,
  • inclusion,
  • and how to stay safe.

We guide and support children's learning helping to develop self-esteem

We have implemented yoga, meditation and mindfulness into the children's daily routines. Our Penguins take part in daily meditation after lunch, this helps to relax their bodies and minds after a busy morning. We also encourage the children to think about how their bodies are feeling to bring self-awareness to themselves.

We do weekly yoga activities, where our children get the opportunity to explore movement and relaxation through yoga in small groups. The children are also encouraged to use their imagination through these sessions, here is an example of a yoga routine we do with our children.

We also have High balls low who come in once a week to play ball games with our children to help develop their gross motor, balance and coordination. This also gives our children the opportunity to learn to work on their own and as part of a team.

Jo Jingles also attends once a week allowing our children to take part in bounce and rhyme, promoting children's creativeness, movement, language and motor skills.

We also promote the Child Smile Initiative, assisting children with tooth brushing.
